      Ramsey · 3 years ago
      @Droopster You have to upgrade you Windows 7 key to a Windows 10 key.

      George · 3 years ago
      @Droopster I was able to use my existing win 7 key with a reset of Ramsey's win10 iso by using exact same version of upgrade ie win7 home x64 >win10 home x64. But I was using same motherboard and cpu. Not sure if it works with different motherboard and cpu.

    Hi Ramsey (hi)
    In Win10IE, there is a shortcut of 'This PC' on desktop
    I suggest changing the registry instead of the shortcut:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\NewStartPanel] "{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}"=dword:00000000 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\ClassicStartMenu] "{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}"=dword:00000000
    Thank you.

      @Muhammadhussein Ammari Will add this. But last register entry (ClassicStartMenu) is not for Windows 10.

      Sachin Marathe · 3 years ago
      @Ramsey Actually this is the first thing i do after i install windows. I tried adding the same lines to 'Settings x86-x64' in the oem folder. but either it doesnt work that way or i did something wrong. 'ClassicStartMenu' adds control panel by the way.
      There is something else to it too.
      The shortcuts added this way can be deleted, unlike the recycle bin which can not. is there some way to make them un-deletable as well?
    • This commment is unpublished.
      Ramsey · 3 years ago
      @Sachin Marathe You have to change "[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\" to "[HKEY_USERS\LoadedDefaultUser\".

      Sachin Marathe · 3 years ago
      @Ramsey hi, if i remember correctly i did exactly that when trying to add it to the registry file in oem folder. it didnt work. now on installed windows it doesnt work too. i will give it a shot again when i do a fresh installation next month :D
      Or maybe u will do it in your next build(next month, i guess ;))

    Thanks for Win10IE and WinXpIE (clap)
    Do you have a plan to build Win7IE? :?

    Hi Ramsey (hi)
    In Win10IE, you deleted this file: (clap)
    "C:\Windows\System32\OneDriveSetup.exe"
    Please also delete this file:
    "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\OneDriveSetup.exe"
    I hate OneDrive. :@
    Thank you.

    Ramsey, why is the insider build program disabled? I've always been able to access it... how do I get it back? I'm signed in to my MS account, yet the link is still closed. is this entire copy of windows administrated through you?

      @babybearjs
      It is required to have the diagnostic data privacy (Telemetry) settings set to Full to get the preview builds.
      In Win 10-IE telemetry is completely deactivated, in order to reactivate this you have to set one of the two options below.
      Registry Editor
      Go To: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\DataCollection" and set "AllowTelemetry" to "00000001" or delete that Registry Key.
      Group Policy
      Go To: "Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Data Collection and Preview Builds" and enable "Allow Telemetry".

    I am asking help for as simple as possible way and of course your permission for me to change your great ISO:
    1. change start page in Edge from Zone62 to Google, add uBlock Origin extension
    2. remove Firefox and Pot player
    3. add/implement VLC
    4. implement another language, not English but Slovenian. (maybe replacing some files from slovenian iso into your iso ??)

    Reason why I would like to change your ISO is:
    When I install your windows it does not bother me. I am local admin and IT in company.
    But when other domain users log in, they have problems and some of them freak out and... well I have additional work to replace this and need to explain them bla, bla, bla... Can't imagine if boss of IT department would sign in with his user and his ego saw this start page of browser (:|

    I know, easiest answer is, install original Win 10 ISO, but I would like to avoid updating, tweaking, changing bunch of settings and de-bloating over and over again on each machine, for each user.

    I hope I am not offending you with my post.
    Thanx :)

      I think all you need is already in the Description:
      * All the Windows 10 Language Packs can be downloaded directly from the Windows 10 Language Settings Menu.
      * All the included extras can be modified or removed in the ISO\Disc folder "..\sources\$OEM$".

      @Ramsey
      Thanx, I found almost everything in files like perferences, *.bat, *.xml, install folders...

      I know how to download language pack from settings menu.
      I was just wandering if I can change this in ISO. Like copy language files from Win 10 Slovenian ISO in your English ISO.

      Is there a way to capture downloaded Office 2019 setup files from online installer to use them for offline installing? Or should I use another tool?
    • This commment is unpublished.
      Ramsey · 3 years ago
      @lumpitor
      If you really want to add a Language Pack to the ISO then the best way for you would be to use the tool NTLite or you could do it manually.

      And for the Office 2019 you have to modify the XML file, if you want to have an Offline installer.

      But the best way for all of this would be to simply use a .bat file that will auto downward the language pack and execute the Office 2019 Online installer.

      @Ramsey

      Thanx!

      Ok, now I think I know where we do not come together :)

      I live outside rural place. Depends on weather and number of users connected to that far far away provider's antenna. My internet connection (4G router with external yagi and biquad antennas) goes from few hundred kbit per second to 3 mbit. That means I need to wait sometimes half an hour to download 100 MB.
      I even do not have mobile signal if I do not get outside my house.

      That is why I break your nerves with offline installer and for implementing languages.
      Well, I found script for offline installer for Office 2019.

    Sorry ,forgot to ask ,are zone62 ,zone94 the same site ?
    I'm sure it was called zone54 at one time.
    Apologies if this has been discussed before ,haven't been here in a while.

    This is very good ,installed this over my 1909 OS and it's running well so far.
    It picked up my old prod. key too so no change needed there.
    Extracted the iso to my second partition and ran the setup.exe.
    I suppose i could have done a clean install but didn't want to go through hours of redoing browsers +other progs. ,redists, e.t.c.
    Had to redo a few telemetry blocks via gpedit though most of them seemed to be still in place from my old 1909 settings.
    Thanks very much for sharing.

      This registry entries will do the trick. But it will only work on Enterprise Editions.

      ; Disables the Telemetry Services (Privacy Setting).

      [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\DiagTrack]
      "Start"=dword:00000004
      [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\dmwappushservice]
      "Start"=dword:00000004

    What's the ImDisk app? and why shortcuts put on C:\ImDisk instead of start menu folder?
